About us

We are a local, not-for-profit initiative, promoting the idea that recycling and reusing is essential for our environment.

Our main objective is to increase the amount we all recycle and reduce the amount we send to waste. This is great both for the environment and community spirit!

We aim to make recycling easy, by: 

​

• encouraging and supporting existing opportunities to recycle through Wandsworth Council, utilising weekly rubbish collections and the household waste and recycling centre on Smugglers Way.

• having TerraCycle collectors who collect, sort and deliver materials not currently recycled by the Council to the nearest Terracycle depot.

• providing information about other avenues for recycling, such as supermarkets accepting supermarket bags or local businesses taking used batteries. 

• organising events on how to recycle better - including virtual tours of the Council's recycling centre and presentations on TerraCycle.

We also connect with other environmental projects who have similar aims to help pool ideas and knowledge.

In due course, we will be running annual events and school visits, offering a blueprint to help other residents groups establish their own local recycling project.
