About Us

We are a local, not-for-profit initiative, promoting the idea that recycling and reusing is essential for our environment.

Our main objective is to reduce the amount we all send to waste by increasing the amount we recycle, creating a circular economy and avoiding unnecessary waste altogether. This is great both for the environment and community spirit!

How Do We Do It? 

​

• we look for sustainable alternatives such as refills, compostable packaging or packaging free solutions.

• we encourage and support existing opportunities to recycle through Wandsworth and Merton Councils and the recycling centre on Smugglers Way.

• we collect, sort and deliver materials not currently recycled by the Councils to the specialists recyclers such as TerraCycle and the First Mile.

• we provide information about other avenues for recycling, such as supermarkets accepting supermarket bags or local businesses taking used batteries. 

• we organise events on how cut waste and recycle better.

We also connect with other environmental projects who have similar aims to help pool ideas and knowledge: Southfields Mend, Fix and Repair Cafe, Green the Grid, Merton Garden Streets, Keep Wimbledon Park Tidy.
